In June the International Labour Organisation published its yearly flagship report, World Employment and Social Outlook: Trends 2021. The document lays bare the sharp deterioration in employment and national income caused by the COVID-19 crisis, which has exacerbated pre-existing inequalities and threatens to leave lasting scars on workers and companies alike.
