A group of scientists from Google DeepMind have prepared a document titled "Levels of AGI for Operationalizing Progress on the Path to AGI," in which they propose a structured framework for classifying the capabilities and behaviors of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and its precursors. The authors propose a leveled ontology to enable consistent comparisons, risk assessments, and measurements of the progress of artificial intelligence technologies on their path to AGI. This taxonomy aims to clarify the stages of AGI development, associated risks, and changes in human-AI interaction paradigms.
